Job Description
We are seeking to add a 2nd professional and detail-oriented receptionist to join our orthodontic practice to assist our outstanding team .
The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage appointment scheduling, handle insurance verification, and support the administrative functions of the clinic. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental/orthodontic office software, and a strong understanding of healthcare documentation and billing procedures.
Bilingual abilities and previous dental office experience are highly valued to ensure exceptional patient service and efficient clinic operations.
Estimated work hours are 25-30 per week.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and provide outstanding front desk customer service
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
Verify insurance coverage and benefits
Collect payments and assist in submitting dental claims
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette
Handle filing, documentation review, and general clerical support within the office environment
Qualifications
Experience in a dental/orthodontic office setting highly preferred
Strong knowledge of dental/orthodontic terminology
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities (Spanish) are a GREAT PLUS
Ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks
Previous experience with insurance verification, medical billing, and office administrative support is highly desirable
