Orthodontic Front Office Receptionist

Our Orthodontic office is seeking an outgoing, energetic, detail-oriented person that works well with others, and is a true team player. Bilingual in English/Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepares new patient information for consultation.

Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.

Updates and schedule patients appointments after completion of orthodontic treatment.

Takes payments for services and products.

Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as pulling and filing patient charts, photocopying, and cleanliness.

Maintains contact with customers and outside vendors.

Prepares insurance assignment form with data such as names of insurance company and policy holder, policy number, and physician diagnosis.

Contacts insurance department to verify patient coverage and obtain information concerning extent of benefits.

Computes total orthodontic bill showing amounts to be paid by insurance company and by patient.

Answers patients' questions regarding statements and insurance coverage.

Works with Insurance Department to telephones or writes companies with unpaid insurance claims to obtain settlement of claim.

Maintains customer database and generates internal database information, such as lists and counts for referring dentist.

This is a permanent full time position with benefits.

Pay depending on work experience.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
