Job Summary
YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR IN OFFICE, CANADIAN DENTAL EXPERIENCE TO APPLY. WE ARE NOT HIRING INTERNATIONAL DENTISTS, MEDICAL PERSONNEL OR NURSES.
We are seeking a friendly junior Orthodontic Receptionist to join our dental team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door.
Your will help coordinate appointments, manage patient records, and facilitate effective communication between patients and our orthodontic specialist. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive patient experience while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
The hours are Monday and Thursday 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM in Mississauga. Some Fridays, every 4-5 weeks usually 8:45 AM to 4:30 PM.
We are only considering those with CANADIAN front desk dental experience, hopefully with the background in Orthodontics.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly atmosphere for all visitors
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using Orthotrac dental software. multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, relay messages, and direct calls efficiently
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations
Verify insurance details, process payments, and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail
Coordinate with orthodontists and clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry pulling charts
Requirements
Previous experience as a dental receptionist is necessary; orthodontic experience is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
Prior experience working with insurance processing, billing, or financial transactions is desirable
