Overview
Join our dynamic orthodontic team as an Orthodontic Receptionist, where your energy and organizational skills will be the heartbeat of our patient experience! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while managing appointments, insurance verifications, and medical records with precision. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly upon arrival, providing excellent front desk customer service and ensuring a positive first impression
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Open Dental
Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorizations, and collect patient copays
Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical history, updating records, and explaining treatment plans clearly
Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, directing calls efficiently and maintaining phone etiquette at all times
Support clinical staff by coordinating care plans, reviewing documentation for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies
Requirements
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual environments (English/Spanish preferred)
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills
