Job Description
Opened in early 2025, our orthodontic practice has grown at a tremendous pace. We are seeking a talented, experienced Orthodontist to lead our practice and scale it to its full potential. We have a strong referral pipeline, keeping the office busy. The position is full-time, and we are hoping to create a long-term opportunity for the right doctor.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including dental and medical history reviews, to develop personalized orthodontic treatment plans.
Diagnose malocclusions and other dental irregularities using dental terminology, medical imaging, and anatomy knowledge.
Design and implement orthodontic treatment strategies utilizing braces, aligners, retainers, and other appliances.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with general dentists and specialists in prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, anesthesiology, and other fields to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to safeguard patient health during all procedures.
Educate patients on oral health maintenance, treatment expectations, and post-treatment care to ensure optimal outcomes.
Utilize practice management software such Ortho2 for scheduling, billing, and documentation purposes.
Stay current with advancements in orthodontics and healthcare diagnosis to continually enhance treatment quality.
Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state license to practice dentistry with specialization in orthodontics.
Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings with a focus on orthodontics; familiarity with dental fabrication processes is a plus.
Proficiency in using dental software platforms such as Ortho2 for clinical documentation and practice management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control practices, and healthcare regulations including HIPAA.
Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to explain treatment plans clearly and compassionately.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
