Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Orthodontist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide expert orthodontic care, helping patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles. Your expertise will support comprehensive treatment planning, patient education, and the delivery of high-quality orthodontic services. All roles are compensated positions, including internships, ensuring you are valued for your contributions from day one.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluating dental and facial structures to develop personalized orthodontic treatment plans.
Perform orthodontic procedures such as placement and adjustment of braces, aligners, and other appliances with precision and care.
Collaborate with the dental team to coordinate comprehensive patient care, integrating orthodontics with general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and endodontics as needed.
Maintain accurate medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper documentation of treatment progress using dental terminology and medical imaging tools.
Educate patients on treatment options, oral health maintenance, and post-treatment care to promote optimal outcomes.
Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all clinical procedures to ensure patient safety.
Utilize dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record keeping efficiently.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice dentistry with specialized training or certification in orthodontics.
Proven experience in dental office settings with a focus on orthodontic procedures and patient care.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards.
Proficiency in using dental imaging technology for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Familiarity with infection control practices including aseptic technique during procedures.
Experience with dental fabrication techniques related to orthodontic appliances is a plus.
