Job Description
Join our team at Comprehensive Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Salt Lake. We are looking for an medical receptionist to play a key role within our rapidly growing healthcare team. Our group has three collective groups of providers across many different orthopedic and sports medicine specialties.
Full time position: Monday-Thursday 7:45 am-5:00 pm; Friday 7:45 am-1:00 pm
Responsibilities:
Greeting Patients: Welcome patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression, and to ensure future positive encounters.
Appointment Scheduling: Manage patient appointment scheduling, and rescheduling efficiently, utilizing our electronic health record (EPIC) system.
Data Entry: Accurately enter, and update patient information into the EHR. Also ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
Insurance Verification: Verify insurance, eligibility and benefits, and assist patients with any insurance related questions/issues.
Patient Service: Address patient inquiries, and concerns with empathy and professionalism, while providing clear and accurate information.
Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties, such as filing, faxing, handling phone calls, and various tasks deemed appropriate by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education, or certification and healthcare administration preferred but not required.
Previous experience in a customer service.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent organization, skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Must maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
