Overview
We are hiring a Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist, preferably to start on Fridays and this position may grow in time.

Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status to inform treatment plans.
Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring adherence to infection prevention protocols and aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding and engagement.
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient workflow and patient comfort.
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using HIPAA compliance by maintaining strict confidentiality of patient medical records and personal information at all times.
Support infection control standards by sterilizing dental equipment, managing infection prevention protocols, and ensuring a safe clinical environment.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current registration status.
Proficiency in dental software systems documentation review and EHR management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices.
Skilled in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, medical imaging, X-ray procedures, and patient care.
Demonstrated expertise in healthcare infection prevention and control practices along with aseptic technique adherence.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
