Paramedic IV Sedation Assistant Part Time Per Diem

Welcome to Lehigh Acres Oral Surgery!

We are looking for a part time "paramedic" to help our surgeon with IV Sedation. We need help 1-2 days per month.

We are the premier oral surgery practice in Lehigh Acres, FL. Local dentists refer patients to us for dental extractions, wisdom tooth removal, dental implant placement, and pathology. We perform IV deep sedation on many of our patients to provide comfort during surgery.

Responsibilities:
1. Review patient medical history
2. Attach EKG, BP, pulse ox, EtCO2 capnography, nasal cannula O2
3. Start IV and perform blood draw for PRP (platelet rich plasma)
4. Label and draw up medications such as midazolam, ketamine, and propofol
5. Assist the surgeon in monitoring patient vitals during deep sedation
6. Recover and discharge patient
7. Record vitals and drug administration times
8. Stock anesthesia cart and crash cart
9. Help run ACLS and medical emergency drills with staff
