Part-Time Associate Dentist (1 day/Wk)

Associate Dentist – 1 Day/Week, Scalable to Up to 4 Days | Mechanicsville/Ashland, VA Atlee Family and Cosmetic Dentistry – Mechanicsville/Ashland, VA
We're looking for a licensed Virginia general dentist to join us as an associate one day a week on an ongoing basis. For the right fit, there may also be an opportunity down the road to expand to covering for us during a future maternity leave (up to 4 days a week) — but that expanded coverage is entirely optional and not a requirement of this role.

Key details:
Schedule: 1 day per week (day flexible/negotiable) on an ongoing basis.

Anticipated start: After credentialing is complete, ideally January 2027.

Optional expanded coverage: If interested, there may be an opportunity to increase to up to 4 days per week for an anticipated future maternity leave (estimated Q3–Q4 2027, timing not yet confirmed). This is not required — happy to have you on board for just the one regular day if that's your preference. The schedule goes back to 1 day a week after maternity leave is over (3–6 months).

Compensation: $700 daily guarantee for the first 6 months, or 30% of collections, whichever is greater. After 6 months, compensation is 30% of collections.

Malpractice insurance: Covered by the practice.

Scope of care: You'll be seeing our patients of record, with handoff notes and treatment plans provided. We maintain a relaxed, unhurried schedule — this is not a high-volume office.

What we offer:
Mentorship in digital dentistry, including same-day CEREC crowns and 3D-printed onlays, retainers, and mouthguards.

Mentorship from a Platinum Invisalign Provider, including advanced Invisalign treatment planning through Molis Coaching, if you'd like to build Invisalign skills during your time with us.

Exposure to digital workflows (CBCT + intraoral scanning, CEREC same-day crowns, iTero scans, scanned implant restorations using encodes and scan bodies) for those interested in hands-on learning — entirely optional and not required for the role.

In-house 3D printing for onlays, mouthguards, retainers, and surgical guides, for anyone who wants exposure to in-office fabrication.

Guided implant surgery for those interested in placing implants using a digital workflow.

Private, non-DSO practice with a small, supportive team.
