Job Description
Job Summary
At South O Smiles, we pride ourselves on being a family-friendly dental office dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients of all ages. Located in the heart of Oceanside, our welcoming practice offers weekend appointment one Saturday per month and a patient-first approach to dentistry. Our doctor and practice owner, Dr. Katherine Vance, is looking for an associate to join her in the office. We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Associate Dentist to join our team and help us deliver smiles to our growing patient base.
Schedule
We are looking for a part time associate to work 2-3 days per week. Actual days negotiable but to include one Saturday per month.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients of all ages.
Perform a variety of dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and preventive care.
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Utilize medical imaging technologies to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Document patient records accurately using Open Dental.
Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care strategies.
Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to optimize patient flow and clinic operations.
Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuous education and training.
Experience
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred (new graduates are welcome to apply!)
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
