Job Description
Emerald Family Dental is a privately owned office located in Middleboro, Ma. We are seeking a motivated, patient-focused, part-time associate dentist to join our team. This position has the potential to become full time in the future.
Our practice is an insurance/fee service-based office. No Medicare or MassHealth. We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care while providing our doctors with the clinical autonomy, technology, and support needed to thrive.
Duties
Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures including precision and professionalism.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose oral health conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
Utilize advanced dental software for accurate medical documentation and record keeping in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with specialists in orthodontics and periodontics to coordinate comprehensive patient care when necessary.
Educate patients on oral health maintenance, treatment options, and post-procedure care to foster informed decision-making.
Maintain proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques to ensure accurate diagnosis and documentation.
Adhere to all healthcare diagnosis standards while ensuring patient safety through infection control practices and proper use of local anesthesia during procedures.
Manage dental fabrication processes including crowns, bridges, and other prosthetic devices with attention to detail.
Stay current with advancements in general dentistry practices through ongoing education and professional development.
Qualifications
DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an accredited institution required.
Valid state license to practice dentistry with current DEA registration and MCSR certification.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws ensuring compliance at all times.
Ability to work efficiently within a team environment while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas such as anesthesiology techniques, medical imaging advancements, and new dental technologies.
