Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Part-Time Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting smooth clinical operations. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for procedures.

Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.

Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to all safety protocols and infection prevention management policies.

Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical records, taking vital signs, and documenting medical imaging results accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix and Open Dental
Ensure clinical confidentiality policies are strictly followed when handling patient information and medical records.

Maintain dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission between patients.

Support patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions about dental terminology, and providing post-treatment instructions.

Assist with dental equipment operation including dental x-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and other clinical tools.

Collaborate with team members using patient management software to schedule appointments and coordinate care efficiently.

Uphold healthcare infection prevention and control standards by following all protocols related to infection control and dental sterilization procedures.

Experience
Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix and Open Dental is highly desirable.

Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental instrument processing, and clinical assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry is advantageous.

Understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies is essential to ensure patient privacy at all times.

Experience with pediatric dentistry, oral surgery assistance, endodontics, prosthodontics or general dentistry procedures will be considered a strong asset.

Demonstrated ability to operate dental equipment safely including X-ray machines and 3D scanners while maintaining infection prevention standards.

Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient management are key qualities for success in this role.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
