Part-Time Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Prior experience with dental software and procedures is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies for patient procedures
Assist dentists during various dental treatments, including orthodontics and pediatrics
Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when needed
Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Ensure sterilization and cleanliness of all dental instruments and work areas
Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when required, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and medical terminology in patient charts
Skills
Proficiency with dental software
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics
Experience with orthodontics procedures is a plus
Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and infection control protocols
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in medical office administration is advantageous
