Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Part-Time Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and clinical skills will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient management will help us uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence and confidentiality.
MUST HAVE 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE IN DENTAL ENCOURAGED
Responsibilities
Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools while maintaining proper aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Take and develop dental X-rays in compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental radiography standards, accurately documenting findings in medical records.
Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical history and vital signs, and ensuring they are comfortable throughout their visit.
Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling medical documentation, records, and patient management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Support the sterilization process of dental instruments and ensure all dental instruments are processed according to infection control guidelines.
Collaborate with the team using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during procedures.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE DENTAL ASSISTING ENCOURAGED.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, infection prevention management, and sterilization procedures.
Ability to operate dental X-ray equipment and perform intraoral imaging with precision.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills to effectively assist patients and coordinate with the dental team.
Certification in dental assisting or related field preferred; ongoing training in medical terminology and healthcare infection control is a plus.
