We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and comfort. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with dentists and other staff members to deliver exceptional patient experiences in a welcoming environment.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by examining patients’ gums and teeth.
Document patient treatment plans and progress using Dentrix or other dental software systems.
Maintain a sterile and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Provide support during orthodontic procedures when necessary.
Communicate effectively with patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have regarding their treatment.
Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
2 years of experience
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
Previous experience in dental assisting can be advantageous.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
