The hygienist we're looking for?

Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (we use Open Dental).
Follow infection prevention protocols by practicing aseptic techniques, sterilizing instruments, and managing infection control procedures in accordance with healthcare standards.
Review documentation for accuracy, update medical history forms, and code treatments appropriately for billing purposes.
Support general dentistry procedures with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment operation to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Experience
Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is highly preferred but not required. We're happy to teach!
Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
Experience in infection prevention management within healthcare environments, including sterilization processes and aseptic technique adherence.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration are vital for success in this role.
