Join our dynamic dental team as a Part-Time Dental Hygienist and make a meaningful impact on patient oral health! In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional dental hygiene services in a friendly, professional environment. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, ensuring accurate documentation.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote long-term dental health.
Assist with dental procedures by preparing instruments and materials using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety protocols are followed.
Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment procedures in electronic health records.
Uphold strict infection prevention standards through aseptic techniques, sterilization of equipment, and adherence to healthcare infection control guidelines.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all medical coding aligns with treatment provided.
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification.
Proficiency in dental equipment operation, X-ray techniques, and infection control practices.
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control protocols, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team.
