Part-time Dental Hygienist

Location: Mattoon, IL and surrounding communities
Practice Name: Hastings & Havlik Family Dentistry and associated offices
Schedule: 16 hours/wk guaranteed. Opportunity to increase hours in the coming months.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly-skilled, dependable Dental Hygienist to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for a hygienist looking for a supportive, patient-focused dental office.

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality preventive dental care, including:
Adult and pediatric prophylaxis
Periodontal maintenance and SRP (if applicable)
Taking digital X-rays
Patient education on oral hygiene and home care
Perform thorough periodontal charting and documentation
Review medical history and assess patient needs
Maintain accurate clinical notes in the dental software system
Follow infection control, sterilization, and OSHA/HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications
Active Dental Hygienist license in Illinois
Current CPR/BLS certification
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to work efficiently and stay on schedule
Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
Willingness to cross-train as needed (front desk, dental assisting)
Experience with Dentrix Ascend (preferred but not required)
