Part-time Dental Hygienist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental hygiene, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a team. This role involves providing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall operations of the dental office. Experience with Tracker, Perio office and bilingual communication are highly valued. A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor is essential.

Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar
Take dental radiographs as needed
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist with patient examinations and prepare treatment rooms for procedures
Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker or similar dental management software
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient concerns and answering questions professionally
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth clinic operations
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with provincial requirements
Prior experience in a periodontal office setting is preferred
Proficiency with Tracker or other dental management software is desirable
Bilingual abilities are highly advantageous for serving diverse patient populations
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about oral health practices
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in dental assisting or related roles is beneficial but not required
