Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a welcoming and efficient office environment. This role offers an opportunity to work with a supportive team in a modern dental setting, emphasizing patient education and oral health. We are currently hiring for Thursdays from 3-7:30, Fridays from 8:30-1:30 and one Saturday per month from 8:30-2.
Duties
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, and polishing to prevent oral disease
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software
Manage patient scheduling and follow-up appointments
Ensure the sterilization of instruments and maintain infection control standards
Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
Assist with orthodontic procedures when necessary
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns in a professional manner
Experience
Previous experience working in a dental office is preferred, especially with pediatric or orthodontic cases
Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental practice management software is advantageous
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry is beneficial
Bilingual skills are a plus, enabling better communication with diverse patient populations
Experience in dental assisting or related roles enhances the ability to support clinical operations effectively
Strong customer service skills are essential for creating a positive patient experience
This position requires a licensed Dental Hygienist committed to delivering high-quality care while fostering a friendly and professional environment. The role is integral to promoting optimal oral health outcomes for our patients.
