Job Description
Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Part-time Dental Hygienist in Victoria, BC!
Position Details
Schedule: Tuesdays , Wednesdays and Two Mondays a month
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Patient Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Downtown Victoria, BC
Practice: One-dentist, 4-chairs modern dental office equipped with the latest technology
Starting in October 2026 (flexible start date )
Duties
Perform thorough periodontal debridement , including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist with dental examinations by taking and updating patient medical histories and documenting findings
Support the dental team with chairside assistance during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Manage patient appointments efficiently using Tracker
Maintain infection control standards and sterilize dental instruments according to protocols
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and ensuring a positive experience
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license for British Columbia
Proven experience in dental hygiene, preferably with general dentistry and orthodontics knowledge
Familiarity with Tracker , Itero .
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Bilingual abilities are considered an asset for serving diverse patient populations
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
