Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry, with expertise in various dental specialties, including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care, perform diverse dental procedures, and contribute to a supportive clinical environment while maintaining flexible working hours.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive dental examinations and diagnosis using advanced medical imaging and dental terminology.
Perform a wide range of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, implants, and oral surgeries with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough patient assessments and healthcare diagnosis.
Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare policies to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in accordance with medical records standards.
Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions.
Uphold infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Collaborate with team members utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care delivery.
Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and other specialties through ongoing education.
Qualifications
Valid state dental license with eligibility for part-time practice.
Proven experience in general dentistry within a dental clinic or office setting; experience with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health.
Proficiency in performing dental extractions, implants, endodontics (including root canals), prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages, including pediatric populations.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing dental practice operations.
Experience with medical imaging technology used for diagnosis and treatment planning.
