Job Description
ABOUT THE PRACTICE
Aesthetic Dentistry of East Greenbush is a well-established cosmetic and family dental practice built on a simple philosophy: prevention and attention to detail. Dr. Jim Reynolds has stepped in to lead the next chapter, bringing fresh energy while keeping the same patient-first values that built this practice. It's a genuinely exciting time to join: a loyal, established patient base, a strong foundation, and a new chapter just getting started.
WHY JOIN OUR TEAM
An established, loyal patient base with great patients and strong day-one demand
A true partner on site: Dr. Jim Reynolds, a great general dentist who values collaboration
Room to practice at the top of your license: implants, molar endodontics, oral surgery, and more
Modern technology and streamlined workflows that keep your day running smoothly
Full clinical and administrative support, so you can focus on dentistry, not paperwork
A flexible schedule you build around your life, with the choice of days that work best for you
A positive, collaborative, team-first culture where you're genuinely valued, not just scheduled
WHERE YOU'LL PRACTICE
East Greenbush sits just east of Albany, right in the heart of New York's Capital Region — close enough for an easy commute into Albany, Troy, or Schenectady, but with the feel of a true hometown community. Picture rolling hills, the Taconic Mountains on the horizon, community parks with summer concerts, and a friendly, small-town pace that doesn't sacrifice access to city culture, shopping, and outdoor recreation. It's the kind of place people plant roots — affordable, welcoming, and easy to love.
POSITION SUMMARY
We're looking for a skilled, motivated General Dentist who loves expanded-function dentistry and wants to put it to work. This role is a few days a week, with the flexibility to choose from our Monday through Thursday schedule — ideal if you want meaningful, hands-on clinical work and real work-life balance. You'll join a very supportive, collaborative office with wonderful patients and a great general dentist on site to partner with in Dr. Jim Reynolds. Come help us build what's next.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Care
Diagnose and treat dental conditions using evidence-based, patient-first practices
Place dental implants and implant restoration
Perform molar root canal therapy
Perform oral surgery procedures, including surgical extractions
Provide IV sedation for appropriate cases, if credentialed (a bonus, not a requirement)
Patient Education & Experience
Educate patients on oral health and treatment options in a way that builds trust and case acceptance
Partner with Dr. Reynolds on treatment planning, case collaboration, and continuity of care
Clinical Support & Compliance
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
Partner with hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to deliver a seamless patient experience
Uphold the practice's clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards at every visit
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
DDS or DMD from an accredited dental program
Active New York dental license (or eligibility for licensure)
Demonstrated clinical experience and comfort with expanded functions: implant placement and restoration, molar root canal, and oral surgery
Strong treatment-planning ability, sound clinical judgment, and excellent communication skills
Genuine commitment to patient-centered care
Preferred
IV sedation certification or permit — an exciting bonus, but not required
A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for partnering with an established, supportive team
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an in-person, patient-facing clinical role at our practice. Schedule is a few days a week, chosen from our office hours: Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Thursday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The role involves prolonged standing and fine motor work.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
A competitive daily rate or 30% of collections (whichever is greater) for the first six months
After the initial six-month period: 30% of collections up to $50,000/month; 35% on collections above $50,000/month
CE allowance and professional development support
A supportive, collaborative team that backs you up clinically and personally
