Job Description
Part-Time Dentist – Charlottesville, VA
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Schedule: 2 visits per month (biweekly, weekdays)
Compensation: $900 per visit
Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
About the Opportunity
Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Dentist (DDS/DMD) to provide care in a structured, outpatient clinic-based environment in Charlottesville, Virginia.
You'll function as an extension of the clinical team within a coordinated, community-focused setting serving senior and underserved patient populations.
This opportunity is ideal for a dentist seeking meaningful, mission-driven work with a consistent biweekly schedule—without the overhead or administrative burden of operating a private practice.
The Setting
This opportunity operates within a community-based outpatient clinic model.
Dedicated dental treatment space
Dental assistant support provided
Clinic staff on-site full time
Organized scheduling and patient flow
Coordinated, team-based care environment
Value-based model focused on senior populations
We manage equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics, allowing you to focus entirely on delivering high-quality dental care.
What You'll Do
Perform comprehensive dental examinations and oral health assessments
Diagnose and treat common dental conditions within your scope of practice
Develop appropriate treatment plans and recommendations
Perform routine general dentistry procedures
Document treatment accurately and efficiently
Collaborate with dental assistants and clinic staff as part of an integrated care team
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting
What Makes This Different
This is not a high-volume corporate or production-driven dental model.
Our dentists are integrated into established clinic environments and represent Comprehensive Mobile Care directly within each partner location.
We emphasize:
Quality over volume
Consistency and predictability
Dental assistant and administrative support
Long-term clinic partnerships
Ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery
Dignified care for senior and underserved patients
Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited program
Active Virginia dental license
Current professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain coverage
Experience treating senior populations preferred
Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
Comfortable practicing in an outpatient clinic environment
Schedule
2 visits per month on a biweekly basis
Weekday availability
Typical hours: approximately 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
No nights
No weekends
No billing or administrative responsibilities
Comprehensive Mobile Care is a family-founded healthcare organization with over 25 years of experience increasing access to care for senior and underserved communities across more than 20 states.
