Part-Time or Full-Time Hygienist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our awesome team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care while ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for patients. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, conducting patient assessments, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. Your expertise in dental terminology and procedures will be essential in supporting our dental team and enhancing patient experiences.

Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy
Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical histories
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Utilize EMR systems for documentation review and patient management
Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in general dentistry settings
Take and review dental radiographs
Stay updated on dental terminology, dental imaging, and dental coding practices
Skills
Proficiency in Dentrix software systems
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health
Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques
Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction
Understanding of dental terminology related to dental procedures
Experience in a dental office or clinic environment is required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
Active North Carolina Dental Hygiene License
CPR Certification
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Team player with a positive attitude
