We are an outstanding General Cosmetic Dental Practice that has been in business for two generations. We have a wonderful group of patients that rely on and trust our team to provide them the best care possible. Our team is seeking a self-motivated, highly knowledgeable, friendly, reliable, energetic RDH to join our dental family. We are looking for an individual who loves to continue learning and growing within the team, as well as somebody who can bring something new and unique to our already great dental team. 2-day work week, Wednesday 8 am - 5 pm & Thursday 8 am - 4 pm

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental hygiene practices, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and education. As a vital member of our clinic, you will deliver comprehensive dental hygiene services, assist with patient assessments, and support the overall efficiency of our practice while maintaining the highest standards of safety and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring thorough patient care.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to develop appropriate treatment plans.
Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) and CBT Scans, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental wellness.
Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Maintain accurate and detailed dental records in electronic health record Open Dental, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Adhere to infection prevention protocols by practicing aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and managing infection control measures.
Support the clinical team with chairside assisting and managing dental equipment to ensure smooth workflow.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPAA and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Stay updated on medical terminology, dental terminology, and current best practices in general and cosmetic dentistry.
Skills
Proficiency in dental software systems such as Open Dental for documentation and record management.
Strong knowledge of dentistry principles and techniques tailored for adult patients.
Experience with dental imaging procedures including X-ray interpretation and radiation safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients of all ages about oral health care.
Familiarity with infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards.
Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement, medical history review, and patient assessment.
Knowledge of dental equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to support clinical efficiency.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
