Join our dynamic dental team as a Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will help deliver exceptional oral health care and create positive patient experiences. Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy smiles.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accuracy and patient safety in accordance with dental imaging protocols.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term dental health.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to streamline patient care and improve comfort.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to safeguard patient and staff health.
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current registration credentials.
Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry procedures being a plus.
Proficiency in cloud-based dental software systems such as Archy for documentation review and EHR management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental care.
Ability to perform chairside assisting duties effectively while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Experience with medical imaging techniques, dental x-ray procedures, and infection prevention management.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration.
Hours: Tues, Thurs 8am-3pm
