It's probably not lunch on a Tuesday when you're reading this. It's more likely nine o'clock on a Sunday night, after everything's finally quiet, scrolling for a sign that somewhere out there, the front desk doesn't feel like this.

We know, because a lot of us have been exactly where you are.

Here's what we wanted, and what we found instead.

We got into this work because we wanted to be the first friendly face a nervous kid sees — the person who makes a family feel like they matter the second they walk in. We wanted a job where the day moved, where every family was different, and where being good at your job meant actually being trusted to run with it.

What a lot of us found instead was the opposite. Phones ringing nonstop with nobody backing you up. Insurance headaches nobody had time to help untangle. Owners and office managers who wanted initiative but micromanaged every decision anyway. Days so serious and rigid that nobody had room to actually enjoy the families they were talking to. It wore us down.

So we decided that wasn't going to be how we ran our front office.

So we built something else.

Today, our front office is genuinely fun. We don't take ourselves too seriously — we laugh in the hallway, we celebrate the small wins (the kid who wasn't scared to check in, the mom who told us it was the easiest dental visit she's ever had), and we like each other enough to hang out outside of work too. Every family that walks through our doors is different, and we treat them that way — no script, no cold customer-service voice, just real people making other people feel taken care of. If you take initiative, we hand you the ball and trust you to run with it — we're not looking over your shoulder. And underneath all of it, everything we do is built around one thing: what's genuinely best for that child and that family, right from the first hello.

How we got here
This didn't happen by accident. It's the result of doctors who've been deliberate about who they hire up front, how much ownership they hand off, and what kind of culture they protect — even when "keep it buttoned-up and by-the-book" would've been the easier, safer image to project. We've built this on purpose, and we keep building it that way with every person who joins us.

What You'll Do
Welcome every child and family with warmth, energy, and zero stuffiness
Verify insurance, manage scheduling, and keep patient communication running smoothly
Present treatment plans and help families understand their options
Spot ways to make the experience better and just go make them happen
Take ownership of your role and jump in wherever the team needs you
Help create a fun, caring environment where kids feel comfortable and families feel valued
What We're Looking For
5+ years of dental front office experience
Dental insurance knowledge
Someone who takes initiative without needing to be asked twice
Strong work ethic, pride in doing things right
A true team player who lifts up the people around them
Loves working with kids and building relationships with families
