PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR – MENLO PARK, CA

We are a specialty orthopaedic surgery practice with offices in Fremont and Menlo Park, California

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and check in patients upon their arrival and check patients out after their appointment
Answer patient inquiries, distribute any outstanding intake documents and assist patients in completing forms, as needed
Schedule patient appointments and confirm upcoming appointments
Input and maintain patient information using electronic medical record system
Continually monitor schedule for accuracy and advise changes to patients and team members
Answer phone, screen calls, provide information and route to appropriate parties
Follow all company policies and procedures including HIPPA
Ensure reception and other office areas are well maintained and stocked
Collect, record and post payments
Perform other miscellaneous administrative duties as needed and upon request
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Organized and detail oriented with an inherent ability to take initiative
Proven track record of work-related reliability and punctuality
Minimum one year of experience as a receptionist; medical office preferred
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in a positive, respectful and considerate manner
Strong ethical and moral character references
Ability to promote favorable practice image with providers, patients and the public
Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal and telephone communication in American English
Electronic Medical Record experience; EPIC preferred
Knowledge of orthopaedic procedures and terminology a plus
