Patient Care Receptionist – Front Desk

We’re hiring a Patient Care Coordinator at Jeffrey Kwong Orthodontics in El Dorado Hills. This is a front desk position. You won’t be chairside, but you will be the first face patients see, the voice that answers the phone, and the person who keeps our day moving with precision.

Your Schedule
Current:
Mon, Tue, Wed: 8:00am – 5:00pm | 1-hour lunch
Thu: 7:00am – 4:00pm | 1-hour lunch
Fri: 8:00am – 4:00pm | 1-hour lunch
Summer (June through mid-August):
Mon, Wed: 8:00am – 5:00pm | 1-hour lunch
Tue, Thu: 7:00am – 3:30pm | 40-minute lunch
Fri: 8:00am – 4:00pm | 1-hour lunch
Full-time, 35–40 hours/week.

What You’ll Do
Greet patients and make them feel genuinely welcome from the moment they walk in
Answer phones with confidence and schedule appointments smoothly
Respond to patient emails and texts to keep the day organized
Verify insurance, process basic payments, and manage front desk flow
Support internal marketing, patient contests, and team initiatives
Collaborate daily with a close-knit clinical team that moves fast and communicates well
Who Thrives Here
You have at least two years of administrative experience in a dental, medical, or professional office. You’re comfortable on the phone, not just answering it, but genuinely connecting with people. You type at least 40 WPM, pick up software quickly, and don’t need someone looking over your shoulder to stay productive.

Orthodontic or dental experience is a plus, but not required. We will train the right person. Coachability and a great attitude are non-negotiable.

This role may not be the right fit if: One thing worth knowing before you apply: this is a busy front desk in a high-volume practice. The phones are active, the schedule fills up, and the team moves quickly. If that kind of energy is where you do your best work, you’re going to like it here. If a slower, more independent pace is what you’re after right now, this may not be the right fit at this time.
