Job Description
Position: Patient Care Coordinator/ Receptionist
Grand River Pediatric Dentistry is a growing pediatric dental office in Jenison, MI seeking an organized and compassionate individual. The right candidate will have good communication skills, be positive, attention to detail, have the ability to multi-task and be patient-focused. Knowledge of third-party reimbursement, collections and insurance is a plus. Experience in a medical or dental office with an understanding of the patient scheduling process and dental terminology preferred. Knowledge of OpenDental is a plus. We offer competitive salary, PTO, 401K and free dental care.
Key Tasks
Interacts positively with patients and the public in-person and on the telephone
Answers phone calls including answering patient questions
Manages the dental schedule including scheduling and rescheduling, appointment confirmations.
Updating patients accounts and forms
Determines insurance eligibility
Coordinate treatment plans
Reviews treatment, insurance and financial responsibility with patients, and schedules treatment.
Manages the practice email including responding to inquiries
Register new and maintain existing patient records
Acts as a liaison with other dental and medical offices, must be comfortable communicating with other medical professionals
Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA and all other applicable laws
Performs general office and clerical functions.
Our practice is a growing pediatric dental practice. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently, but very much be part of a team atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be well versed with dental insurance, treatment planning and be very comfortable and confident with financial information.
