Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Patient Coordinator and Receptionist to join our dental team. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with patient coordination duties, ensuring a seamless experience for patients from check-in to treatment planning. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills, ready to support both administrative operations and patient care. Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify their appointment details, and assist with check-in procedures.

Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and directing calls appropriately.

Verify insurance coverage and benefits ensuring accurate insurance information collection and documentation review.

Assist with patient intake processes by collecting medical history, updating personal information, and explaining office policies clearly.

Maintain accurate dental records.

Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, billing, and insurance verification to streamline clinic operations.

Handle billing inquiries related to collection processes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and health information management.

Manage front desk operations including greeting visitors, managing office supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized reception area.

Skills:
Computer skills.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally while demonstrating patience and empathy for patients’ needs.

Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.

Prior dental office experience is highly desirable but not required; familiarity with dental terminology is advantageous.

Strong organizational skills for filing, documentation review, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling within fast-paced environments.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality of patient information at all times is a plus.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy dental setting; flexibility to adapt to changing priorities is essential.
