Job Description

NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE
The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner in a fast-paced clinic.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO
· Welcome and interview patients
· Complete all paperwork for patients, verify medical insurance coverage, enter all medications and health related issues into the patient’s electronic chart and obtain all proper documents, ID cards and insurance cards
· Provide excellent customer service
· Demonstrate positive communication with patients and co-workers
· Check patients in/out
· Schedule/reschedule appointments
· Handle payments
· Reconcile and balance money drawer daily
· Scan documents into patient’s charts
· Enter clinic charges into the computer system
· Other appropriate duties may be assigned that are not listed in this description
REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Computer skills
· High school diploma or G.E.D.
· This position requires frequent, prolonged periods of sitting
· Previous medical or hospital experience preferred, but not required
· Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, providers and other medical facilities
SCHEDULE AND BENEFITS
· Full-time position in our Starkville Clinic located at 4 Professional Plaza
· Monday through Friday

Columbus Orthopaedic Clinic is composed of a group of physicians who are each specialists in their own field of orthopaedics, including orthopaedic surgery, orthopaedic spine surgery, sports medicine, pain management and physical therapy. The Columbus Orthopaedic Clinic proudly provides sports medicine support to the Athletic programs of Mississippi State University, East Mississippi Community College and local school athletic programs.
