Our OB/GYN practice is hiring a Patient Service Representative (PSR).
Location: Bridgewater, NJ
Hours: 9-5PM and 1 alternating night 12-7:30pm on a Monday or Wednesday
Greeting patients and visitors, assisting, and directing them accordingly to the appropriate waiting area.
Paging or phoning appropriate personnel to meet and escort patients to the exam room.
Explaining financial requirements to patients, collecting, and recording copayments as required.
Performing registration functions for new and existing patients and activating patient files.
Promptly and professionally answering and routing calls to appropriate personnel, paging, offering voicemail, or redirecting calls as needed.
Retrieving and appropriately routing any messages from the answering service.
Providing additional support to patients and medical staff and performing other duties as assigned.
Courteously screening solicitors for relevance to organizational needs.
Adhering to infection control and safety guidelines as well as maintaining confidentiality regarding all patients and following confidentiality policies per HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
High School Diploma or GED
Medical Receptionist/PSR experience preferred.
Excellent customer service skills & communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
Ability to maintain composure and navigate a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Team player.
Ability to work 40 hours per week including some evening hours
Ability to work a flexible schedule and provide coverage at satellite location(s), where applicable, as needed.
