Job Description

Provides receptionist, administrative, secretarial and surgery scheduling support for CCH Ambulatory Surgery Center. In conjunction with nursing staff, is responsible for assisting patients/family to room and acquisition of demographic information for input into computer system. Responsible for communication with waiting families, physicians, physician’s office staff, and Surgery Center personnel. Utilizes a variety of computer software for performance of duties. Schedules surgical cases and coordinates surgical schedule with anesthesia personnel, nursing personnel and equipment. Maintains a high level of accuracy and knowledge of medical terminology. Maintains a positive attitude in the work environment. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.

Schedule:

Full-time | 72 hours every two weeks | St. Cloud

Day shift | 8-hour shifts | 8:30am – 5pm Monday-Friday

Pay and Benefits:

Starting pay begins at $17.71 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience

Pay range: $17.71 - $26.54 per hour

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

One year post high school training in clerical or secretarial activities or one year of equivalent experience preferred

Basic Life Support (BLS) Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy required.

Medical background preferred

Basic computer skills required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
