Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist pediatric dentists and orthodontists during examinations, procedures, and emergency treatments.

Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before each patient appointment.

Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC infection control standards.

Take and process digital X-rays, intraoral photographs, and dental impressions or digital scans.

Assist with orthodontic procedures, including placing and removing archwires, changing ligatures, preparing brackets and bonding materials, and removing orthodontic appliances under the doctor's supervision.

Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene, braces care, retainer maintenance, and post-treatment instructions.

Comfort and reassure pediatric patients to reduce anxiety and promote a positive dental experience.

Record patient medical histories, update treatment notes, and maintain accurate electronic dental records.

Prepare and organize dental materials for fillings, sealants, fluoride treatments, crowns, and orthodontic procedures.

Schedule patient appointments, verify insurance information, and assist with front office duties as needed.

Monitor inventory, order dental supplies, and ensure treatment rooms remain fully stocked.

Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and office safety protocols.

Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional patient care.

Pay: $27.97 - $33.69 per hour
