Job Overview
Magic Smiles for Kids is looking for a full-time experienced Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. As one of our dental assistants, you will play a vital role in patient care, ensuring high-quality services and maintaining a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
Welcoming our pediatric patients with a smile, making them feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit.
Setting up and cleaning operatories.
Assisting our pediatric dentists during chairside procedures.
Working as a team to help our hygienists and front desk staff as needed.
Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Ensure strict infection control by meticulously preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
Adhere to OSHA and safety policies, prioritizing a secure and healthy environment
Educate patients on effective oral hygiene strategies as needed.
Experience
Experience as a Dental Assistant (pediatric experience highly preferred)
Knowledge of pediatric dental terminology and instruments
Must be reliable, showing up on time with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and our other team members.
A positive attitude, patience, sense of humor and a genuine passion for working with children is essential
Spanish speaking is a plus
Schedule
Our days are 8 hour days, usually 9am-5pm but occasionally 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm. Our schedule is usually 4 days during the week and 1-2 Saturdays per month. Saturday hours are 8am-1pm.
Compensation
$20-28/hr, commensurate with experience
