Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals. In this energetic position, you will assist with clinical procedures, ensure the smooth operation of the dental practice, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management standards.
Assist dentists during various procedures by providing chairside support using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Take X-rays and panoramic xrays while maintaining strict adherence to dental x-ray safety protocols.
Manage patient flow by greeting patients, and ensuring accurate dental documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) in Dentrix. We will train if you have used a different software.
Maintain clinical confidentiality policies at all times while handling sensitive medical records with care and professionalism.
Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with a dental receptionist role in mind.
Experience
Prior experience working in a pediatric dental environment is highly preferred, but not necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, infection control, and dental sterilization procedures is essential.
Knowledge of terminology, anatomy relevant to dentistry, dental equipment operation, and healthcare infection prevention standards is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team enviroment.
Strong communication skills combined with a passion for patient care will ensure success in this fast-paced environment.
