Pediatric Dental Hygienist

We’re seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our pediatric dental team. This role is responsible for the periodontal health and preventive care of all pediatric patients in our practice, supporting a positive, kid-focused experience from the earliest visits through age 21.

Key Responsibilities
· Perform periodontal focused hygiene care for pediatric patients, from birth to age 21
· Provide Scaling and prophylaxis for:
o New patients as indicated
o Re-care patients at recommended intervals
· Conduct age- appropriate periodontal assessments, including charting and documentation.
· Identify risk factors for gum disease and other periodontal conditions; communicate findings with the supervising dentist
· Deliver preventive education to children and caregivers (home care routines, brushing techniques, fluoride guidance, dietary guidance)
· Support treatment planning by preparing instruments/chairside set up and assisting with hygiene- related workflows.
· Maintain accurate and timely charting Dentrix.
· Follow infection control and OSHA standard sterilization procedures consistently
· Provide gentle, developmentally appropriate care while building rapport with children and families.

Qualifications
· Active dental hygiene license in Arizona
· Experience working in a pediatric setting preferred.
· Strong periodontal clinical skills, including proficiency with scaling/ prophylaxis, workflow.
· Ability to manage treatment for patients with a wide range of ages, needs, and comfort levels.
· Excellent communication skills with children, caregivers, and the dental team
· Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
