Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene care in a pediatric setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Duties
Perform dental hygiene procedures including cleanings, scaling, and polishing teeth for pediatric patients.
Educate children and their parents on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of dental health.
Conduct thorough documentation reviews and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist dentists during examinations and treatments.
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment for patients.
Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix for patient management and documentation.
Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Perform some office opening and closing duties.
Participate in inventory control and other administrative duties.
Requirements
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of Arizona.
Experience working in a pediatric dental clinic is preferred.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and understanding of infection control practices.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such Dentrix is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children and their families.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while assisting other dental professionals as needed.
*North Phoenix, 56th Street and 101 location.
