Pediatric Dental Office - Front Desk / Insurance Coordinator / Dental Assistant

Franklin Children’s Dentistry is a boutique pediatric dental office in Franklin, TN. We are looking for a fun, friendly, and hardworking team member to join our practice!

We are currently seeking a full-time front desk team member, but would be open to a part-time position. Experience is required.

Dental assistants that are cross trained for front desk are encouraged to apply!

Duties and Responsibilities:
maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date
provide insurance preauthorizations, verification of benefits, etc.
answer phone calls and online patient inquiries
schedule appointments and maintain the daily schedule
greet patients
check patients out and collect payments
set up treatment plans and payment plans
scan insurance EOBs (do not need to input insurance payments as we work with an outside company)
follow up on balances and send invoices
If cross trained as a dental assistant, you may be asked to help with clinical duties as needed, which include:
Set up and break down of dental operatories
Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment
Perform coronal polishing, take radiographs, and apply sealants
Assist Dr. Robyn with restorative procedures
Communicate effectively with parents and children to ensure they feel comfortable and informed during their visit
Educate parents and children on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferably a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting
Proficient in dental terminology and procedures
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently
Preferred but not required:
Licensed dental assistant with valid certifications in coronal polishing, radiographs, and sealants

Schedule:
Office hours are Monday-Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (new hours starting in August 2026: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM)
Summer hours run from June to August and are from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
