Job Description
Overview
We are looking for a lively pediatric dentist (pedodontist) to join our dynamic team We are located in South Brooklyn and we see a combination of PPO patients and Medicaid plan patients. If you are an experienced individual who strives to make a real difference in children’s lives, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsiblities
Comprehensive Pediatric Dental Care: diagnostic exams, recall exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, pulpotomy, extractions, space maintainers.
Create a positive experience: Develop strong relationships with patients and their families to make dental visits more enjoyable and stress-free.
Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients considering their dental age, needs and temperament. Conduct patient assessments, explain treatment options clearly, and communicate effectively with both children and their guardians to ensure understanding and comfort.
Collaboration: Work in tandem with dental hygienists, assistants and office staff to ensure seamless care and a smooth flow of care for patients.
Maintain meticulous medical documentation and ensure all medical records are up-to-date according to healthcare standards.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in pediatric dentistry working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with excellent organizational skills
DMD or DDS degree for an accredited dental school
Active NYS dental license
Position Details
Every Thursday or alternate Wednesdays and Thursdays. You will work in tandem with one Registered Dental Hygienist and 2 Dental Assistants. Pay and benefits to be discussed during hiring process.
