About Our Practice
Central Washington Pediatric Dentistry is a well-established, owner-operated pediatric specialty practice serving the communities of Yakima and Ellensburg, Washington for over 13 years. Founded and led by Dr. Neal Smith, CWPD has built its reputation on exceptional, compassionate care delivered in a warm, non-corporate environment.
We are proudly independent — no DSO, no corporate bureaucracy. Treatment decisions at CWPD are driven by clinical judgment and patient needs, not reimbursement schedules. Our practice is prevention-focused and technology-forward, utilizing emerging techniques and evidence-based protocols to create outstanding clinical outcomes and patient experiences that families love.
Our Ellensburg office serves a loyal and growing patient base in the heart of the Kittitas Valley, supported by an experienced clinical team and strong community relationships with referring providers.
The Opportunity
Dr. Smith is seeking a talented pediatric dentist to join the Ellensburg location two days per week — Mondays and Tuesdays. This is an ideal position for a candidate who values:
A true part-time schedule — Wednesdays through Sundays are yours Clinical autonomy within a prevention-first, minimally invasive philosophy An established, busy patient base — walk into a full schedule from day one Modern technology and emerging techniques integrated into daily practice A supportive, experienced clinical and administrative team on-site $1,200/day guaranteed — no production pressure while you build A clear path to production-based compensation as the practice grows Long-term partnership and buy-in opportunity for the right candidate
Our Clinical Philosophy
At CWPD, we believe the best dentistry is the dentistry you prevent. Our approach is built on:
Prevention-first philosophy — education, early intervention, and long-term patient relationships Minimally invasive treatment — SDF, GBT, smart fillings, and conservative restorative techniques Technology-forward care — we embrace emerging techniques that improve outcomes and patient experience Behavior guidance and tell-show-do — building trust to minimize the need for sedation Evidence-based treatment planning guided by clinical judgment Honest, transparent communication with every family at every visit
Compensation & Benefits
Base Compensation
$1,200/day guaranteed — regardless of production Path to production percentage (25–30% of collections) as schedule matures Higher of guarantee or production — you are protected while building
Insurance & Patient Mix
Delta Dental in-network Medicaid accepted for patients age 5 and under Private pay and fee-for-service balance
Additional Benefits
Malpractice insurance covered by the practice Supportive environment for continuing education and professional development Experienced administrative team — billing, scheduling, and patient communication handled No weekend or on-call requirements Partnership and buy-in track available for the right long-term candidate
Our Culture — The BUBBLES Core Values
At CWPD, our BUBBLES Core Values are not words on a wall — they are how we show up for our patients, their families, and each other every single day. We are looking for a colleague who shares these values and will bring them to life in Ellensburg.
