Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pediatric Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
Perform comprehensive pediatric dental examinations, including medical and dental history review, oral assessments, and diagnosis of dental conditions using advanced medical imaging techniques.
Provide a wide range of treatments such as dental restorations, extractions, endodontic therapy (root canals), orthodontic interventions, prosthodontics, and oral surgery tailored to pediatric patients.
Utilize specialized techniques including four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and safety.
Develop personalized treatment plans based on thorough patient assessments while explaining procedures clearly to both children and their guardians.
Manage medical documentation accurately within electronic health records systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix, maintaining compliance with state healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care involving anesthesiology when necessary for complex or anxious patients.
Educate patients and guardians on oral hygiene practices, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology related to pediatrics, and current best practices in pediatric dentistry.
Requirements
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure in the state practicing.
Proven experience in pediatric dentistry with a strong background in general dentistry procedures specific to children.
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
Knowledge of dental implants, orthodontics, endodontics (including root canal therapy), oral surgery, prosthodontics, and other specialized areas relevant to pediatric care.
Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic environment.
Ability to perform dental extractions safely and efficiently while maintaining patient comfort.
Excellent client communication skills with an empathetic approach tailored for young patients and their families.
Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis processes related to pediatrics and the ability to interpret medical imaging accurately.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with state healthcare laws governing pediatric dental practice.
Experience working in a fast-paced dental office environment with a focus on client care excellence.
