Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time pediatric dentist or general dentist focused on children to join our family-owned children's dental practice. New graduates are welcome to join. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, perform a variety of dental procedures, and ensure a comfortable and safe environment for patients. This role requires a strong commitment to patient assessment, infection control, and adherence to HIPAA regulations while utilizing dental terminology and techniques effectively.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine oral health needs.
Perform various dental procedures including fillings, extractions, pulpotomies, crowns and spacers.
Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Make appropriate referrals to specialists such as orthodontics, oral surgery or endodontics.
Be comfortable with nitrous oxide administration and/or appropriate use of behavior management techniques.
Make referrals for patients requiring general anesthesia.
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Fabricate dental appliances as needed, ensuring precision and quality.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral health practices and preventative care.
Collaborate with other staff to provide optimal patient care.
Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state dental license.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and fabrication techniques.
Proficiency in patient care practices with a focus on comfort and safety.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of dentistry.
