Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality pediatric dental care, including examinations, cleanings, restorations, and preventive treatments tailored to children’s unique needs
Perform dental procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, and oral surgery with precision and care
Conduct patient assessments by evaluating medical and dental histories, applying appropriate medical terminology, and utilizing medical imaging tools
Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Implement infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Collaborate with dental assistants in four-handed dentistry to optimize patient care efficiency and comfort
Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans using clear dental terminology
Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry procedures, and relevant medical knowledge such as anatomy understanding
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Pediatric Dentist with certification in pediatric dentistry or equivalent credentials
Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office setting with pediatric patients
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control standards, and medical documentation practices
Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures
Ability to communicate effectively with children and their families while demonstrating empathy and professionalism
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance guidelines and medical imaging techniques
