Duties
Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments for pediatric patients, utilizing diagnostic radiology techniques to identify oral health issues early.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address dental caries, malocclusions, and other common childhood oral health concerns.
Perform various dental procedures including restorative treatments, extractions, sealants, fluoride applications, and space maintainers with precision and care.
Educate children and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and dietary habits to promote lifelong dental health.
Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to document patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
Maintain compliance with all safety protocols related to manual handling, critical care procedures, and basic life support (BLS) standards to ensure patient safety at all times.
Requirements
Valid license or certification as a Pediatric Dentist in accordance with local regulatory authorities.
Proven experience in pediatric dentistry or related fields such as nursing or acute care environments with a focus on pediatric patients.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatric healthcare.
Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR management systems for accurate record-keeping.
Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and basic life support (BLS).
Experience with diagnostic radiology techniques specific to dental imaging.
Ability to handle plastic surgery procedures or surgical interventions when necessary for complex cases.
Excellent manual handling skills combined with critical care experience to manage emergency situations confidently.
