Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and develop comprehensive treatment plans using accepted clinical and radiographic techniques
Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care in a compassionate, child-centered environment
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options
Refer patients to dental specialists when appropriate
Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-focused clinical environment
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, state dental board regulations, and all applicable federal and state guidelines
Travel between Weis Dental practice locations as needed
Deliver an exceptional patient experience while promoting lifelong oral health
Qualifications
DDS or DMD from a CODA-accredited dental school
Completion of a CODA-accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency program
Active Virginia dental license (or ability to obtain)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Dentistry, or committed to achieving certification through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
Strong clinical knowledge and sound judgment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, professional, and collaborative approach to patient care
Passion for serving children and families
Willingness to travel between Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, and Chesapeake locations
