About us
Smiles and Co. Pediatric Dentistry is looking for an experienced lead pediatric dental assistant with a positive attitude and great communication skills to add to our growing team! We are a modern, doctor-owned dental practice in La Grange, IL focused on providing children and their families the highest quality of care in a fun environment.
We are looking for a someone to take a LEAD dental assistant role. This role will include additional responsibilities on top of coronal polishing for kids, taking x rays and assisting for procedures.
Additional responsibilities include ordering supplies, overseeing patient flow and downtime tasks, training of other dental assistants, and maintaining our office GA schedule list. Must have a coronal polishing certificate, at least 2 years of pediatric dental assisting AND at least 1 year of being a lead assistant. Pay is flexible based on experience/ and shown commitment to the practice. Looking for someone who can work 4-5 days per week and one Saturday a month from 8-1pm (no Saturdays in June/July). Must be able to work the entire day scheduled - please see our current office hours below (a huddle is done 30min prior to the first scheduled patients):
M/Thur/Fri 9am-5pm, Tuesday 8am-4pm, Wed 10am-6pm, Saturday 8am-1pm

Dental Assisting Duties include:
Friendly engagement with patients and parents
Assist with various pediatric dental procedures
Taking dental radiographs
Maintaining dental equipment and materials
Maintaining operatories and sterilization
Help manage inventory/ordering
Assisting and training other back office staff
Maintaining our GA wait list
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
